Folks never satisfied with ROMs as they are (we see those hands) can celebrate jovially, as version 1.93 for HTC’s Touch Diamond has officially emerged. Said ROM was already available on the intarwebz, but this time it’s ready for downloading at the handset maker’s actual website for UK / Europe-based users. Reported improvements include “camera navigation, text alert speed, tab-switching speed and a new city selector in the weather tab to make it easier and quicker to choose your location.” Give it a go and let us know how it turns out, would you?

At first, we figured our Instinct in this place at Engadget HQ had just woken up on the wrong side of the Bed. but we’re at this time receiving a flood of tips from individuals nationwide having the same issues. Put clearly, it seems that certain Dat. services are thoroughly borked, with our Weather app being unable to refresh for at least the past 18 hours (some are reporting even longer). Additionally, we’re hearing that folks are having to manually refresh their email and deal with all sorts of error messages when attempting to use any of the Dat. services. So, what gives? Are you having data-related issues with your Instinct? C’mon Sprint, this is your best-selling EV-DO device of all time — it’d be nice to have it working for the weekend.

If you just can’t get enough news about Sony Ericsson’s forthcoming Symbian UIQ touchscreen phone — currently known as Paris — perhaps this promo video of the thing in action can help. Sure, these appears to be pre-renders, but it does whet the appetite for things to come with the device, and who can complain about that pop-up weather app and confirmation that this will have a flash for its camera?
