After personally trying out Sprint’s AIRAVE, we’re confident that femtocells have a place in this world. Thankfully, Motorola’s already trying to make them less of an eyesore by integrating a CDMA femtocell into something we wouldn’t mind showing off in the den: an inconspicuous digital photo frame. The “3-in-1″ concept also includes a VoIP soft phone that would theoretically enable calls to be made right from the frame. Of course, Moto’s not handing out any sort of release time frame, but let us be the first to say that this thing needs to hit store shelves on the double — just make sure it’s not carrier specific, and toss in a GSM version while you’re at it, okay Moto? Check out the demonstration vid after the break.

[Thanks, Dave]

Everything prior had been unverified information, hearsay, speculation, and leaked documents — but at this time that Sprint has something out in the open, it’s plan to be a whole hell of a lot more difficult to renege on that September time frame we’d all been pulling for. The carrier and partner Bluefish have thrown up a site taking names and email addresses to be notified when the Touch Diamond is available for purchase; no exact Dat. is given (we wouldn’t be surprised if Sprint still hadn’t decided on that), but they do mention that it’s “coming in September.” That gives ‘em a full 30 days to make good — but if it just happened to roll out on September 2 like we’d originally heard, we don’t think we’ll be seeing too many complaints around in this place.

[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]

Yup, you read that right. We’re not talking about just any Webkit-based browser, Samsung’s long-rumored L870 slider features Apple’s Webkit-based, Mobile Safari browser. A first outside of the iPhone. The 13.5-mm thin phone pumps Symbian v9.3 and S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 at its core with a 3 megapixel camera, 2.4-inch QVGA display, FM radio, Stereo Bluetooth, and microSD expansion. Unfortunately, this pup is tri-band GSM with single-band UMTS/HSDPA 3.6Mbps support so it’ll be heading to europ. around the August time frame.

Update: Full press release available after the break.
