The spec sheet isn’t plan to widen any eyeballs this morning, but as low-end flips go, Samsung’s new a237 for AT&T really doesn’t look half bad; then again, maybe we’re only saying that because its rounded case and bold lines are a welcome change from the typical anonymity these phones usually suffer. True to its target market, the a237 tops out with EDGE Dat. and a VGA cam, features a passable 160 x 128 main display, and sticks with grayscale for the secondary. It launches today in your choice of black, red, or blue, and rest assured, it’s not plan to break the bank. Scout’s honor. [Warning: PDF link]

If there’s one way to ruin an otherwise perfectly good handset, it’s by equipping it with a disgustingly triband GSM / EDGE chipset. Fortunately, though, this isn’t one of those otherwise perfectly good handsets, so we’re not plan to sweat it too hard. The KS360 from LG made its loud entrance at CommuncAsia this week, featuring a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 2 megapixel cam, stereo Bluetooth, FM radio, and a 2.4-inch QVGA display, all wrapped in a rather freakish red and black shell with globule-like controls. Asia’s the target market for the device, destined for a wallet-friendly price tag where features like 3G and inoffensive industrial design are apparently optional. Yeah, QWERTY’s continuously nice, but not when we find it physically difficult to look at the keyboard.

What’s the N85, you ask? We don’t know a heck of a lot about this one, but we’re told that it features a 5 megapixel camera, GPS, and geotagging — sort of an N96 lite, perhaps. The slider features the same industrial design featured on all of Nokia’s Nseries devices as of late, but beyond that, your guess is as good as ours regarding target market, pricing, availability. Stay tuned for more as we get it!
