The W580 is one of Sony Ericsson’s more popular handsets for three very simple reasons: it’s cheap, it’s reasonably sharp-looking, and it knows its way around a playlist. Problem is, it’s getting a little long in the tooth — and that might just be where this rumored W595 (codenamed “Linda”) comes into play. The spied slider claims a 3.2 megapixel camera, FM radio, stereo speakers, shake control (for controlling the media player with a few well-executed flicks of the wrist), and a svelte 14mm shell. Give us North American 3, Sony Ericsson, and we’re sold.

phoneArena is reporting that the latest incarnation of Verizon’s Chocolate series, the clamshell Chocolate 3, will be available on July 14. It’s said that the phone will run $129 on a two-year contract after the redemption of a $50 rebate — not precisely cheap, but where else are you plan to find a Verizon phone with an FM transmitter in baby blue? That’s what we thought.
