What’s the N85, you ask? We don’t know a heck of a lot about this one, but we’re told that it features a 5 megapixel camera, GPS, and geotagging — sort of an N96 lite, perhaps. The slider features the same industrial design featured on all of Nokia’s Nseries devices as of late, but beyond that, your guess is as good as ours regarding target market, pricing, availability. Stay tuned for more as we get it!

You already knew Nokia’s evolutionary N96 was all set to be shipped in the fall, but it’s about time Nokia came clean with the release information on its leaked-out-everywhere E-series. While Anssi Vanjoki, senior executive vice president of Nokia Markets, didn’t specify model numbers, it’s widely assumed that the E66 and E71 handsets are included when he states that “a group of E-series multimedia computers” will be brought to market in Q3. No mention of a price or expected launch regions, but at least you’ve a quarter to circle in your Dat. book, yeah?

Don’t get us wrong, there’s nothing wrong with Batman, nor is there anything wrong with this phone (that we know of, anyway) — we’re just having a hard time saying the full name of it with a straight face. The rumored Nokia flip is getting really close to release, it seems, and Verizon’s getting the party started with “The Dark Knight Edition” which will come loaded with some “exclusive” content related to the latest Gotham City thriller. With a 1.3 megapixel cam, GPS, Bluetooth, and EV-DO, it’s not likely to set Verizon’s retail stores ablaze with sales — but more importantly, it marks a renewed interest on Nokia’s part in bringing decent equipment to the CDMA side of the fence. Look for it to be available on June 15 for $119.99 on a two-year contract before rebate.
