Nokia’s open widget platform just got a little better this week with the official release of WidSets 2.0, which had previously been in public beta. Notably, the new version seems to be Truly a bit snappier, offers the ability to rearrange widgets right from the device instead of having to do it from WidSets’ website (pictured), and sports a tighter marriage with its host phone by allowing calls and browser windows to be initiated from the client. For those who haven’t tried it, it’s worth having a go — it’s compatible with all sorts of phones, Bot. Nokia and otherwise — because let’s be honest, who doesn’t want an Engadget Mobile widget in their pocket?

Well, it seems like we’re at this time one step closer to a full-fledged launch of Nokia’s N-Gage First Access service, with the company declaring today that the beta testing phase will end on March 27th. As was declare before, that means all your scores and other Dat. will be reset and, while you won’t have to repurchase any games you’ve bought during the beta test, you will have to reinstall them when the final version launches. As a bonus for beta testers, however, Nokia is giving away a free copy of the upcoming Mile High Pinball game to anyone that completes a survey, along with 1,000 “community points.” There’s still no firm word on the rollout of the final version of the service, however, with Nokia only going so far as to say that it’s coming in the “next few weeks.”

As the name implies, Samsung’s Muse flip is all about the music thanks to 64MB of onboard memory (enough for a meager album of low-grade MP3s, we suppose), a microSD slot, external music controls, and stereo Bluetooth — and after a January reveal, it’s at this time available to Alltel customers across the land. Besides the comprehensive tuneage support, the Muse features EV-DO, GPS and a 2 megapixel cam, all for a somewhat reasonable $89.99 charge after $50 rebate.
